Hyderabad, May 26 (TNN): The Chief Minister, Dr Rajasekhar Reddy, on Tuesday allocated portfolios to newly-inducted ministers in the Cabinet.

The 76-year-old senior Congress leader and eldest member of the Rajasekhara Reddy cabinet, K Rosaiah has enormous political and ministerial experience. A member of the Legislative Council, Rosaiah began his political career in 1968 and got elected to the Upper House. A native of Vemugu in Guntur district, he graduated from the Hindu College affiliated to the Andhra University.

He has handled key ministries of Finance, Legislative Affairs, Power, Home, among other ministries and had served as Minister under several Chief Ministers in the past, including M Channa Reddy, T Anjaiah, K Vijayabhaskara Reddy, and N Janardhan Reddy.
Ponnala Laksmaiah: The 65-year-old Lakshmaiah is an engineering graduate from the US, has handled the key Major Irrigation department since 2004 and put into action the irrigation initiative ''Jalayagnam'' of the previous Rajasekhara Reddy Government. He has also served as Minister for a brief period in 1991-92.

Kanna Lakshminarayana: Hailing from a political family of the Pedakurapadu in Guntur district, 52-year-old Congress leader was elected to the Assembly for the fifth term from Guntur(West) Assembly constituency. He served as Transport Minister in the previous Cabinet. 

N Raghuveera Reddy: A Lieutenant of Chief Minister, Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, hails from Neelakantapuram in Madakasira mandal of Anantapur district. He has put into action pro-peasant policies of the Government since 2004.

Dharmana Prasada Rao: A native of Mabagam in Srikakulam district, the 52-year-old Congress leader began his political career as a Sarpanch. Responsible for implementing the Congress Government's land distribution policy, he was lone Congress candidate to get elected from the district in 1999 when the TDP retained power. 
He has served as Minister in the past in the Governments headed by Kotla Vijayabhaskara Reddy and N Janardhan Reddy.

Gade Venkata Reddy: Senior most member in the present Legislative Assembly and a law graduate, he was first elected to the Assembly from Parchur in 1967. Seventy-year-old Mr Reddy was a Minister in the Vijayabhaskar Reddy Cabinet besides a member of the Delimitation Committee. 

D Sridhar Babu: Son of former Speaker D Sripada Rao, he won from Manthani segment thrice since 1999. Married to IAS officer Sailaja, Mr Sridhar Babu, who is set to be one of the youngest Ministers at 38, was Karimnagar DCC president for two terms. 

Botsa Satyanarayana: A staunch loyalist of Chief Minister, Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, he was elected to the Lok Sabha from Bobbili in 1999. 

Konda Surekha: A two-time MLA from Sayampet constituency, she emerged victorious from Parkal constituency in Warangal district in the recent elections. A first-time member in the Cabinet, 44-year-old Ms Surekha held various positions including the Treasurer of the CLP. 

Pasupuleti Balaraju: President of the APCC Scheduled Tribes cell, Mr  Balaraju trounced a formidable opponent in G Demudu from Paderu Assembly constituency.

Pinipe Viswaroop: A BEd graduate, Viswaroop (47) has silenced his critics by emerging victorious in spite of change in constituency from Mummidivaram to Amalapuram. Given berth under Mala caste quota in the Cabinet, Mr Vishwaroop was active in district politics for almost three decades.
 
Mohammed Ahmadullah: A former chairman of Kadapa Municipality and president of the District Wakf Board, Mr Ahmadullah is the only minority community member in the present Cabinet. He is MLA for the second time. 

Danam Nagender: A three-time legislator, twice elected from Asifnagar in 1994 and 1999, Danam Nagender is the newly-elected member from Khairatabad, after its reconstitution under delimitation.

Jupally Krishna Rao:
 Elected three times to the Assembly from Kollapur in Mahabubnagar district, Rao (54) makes his debut in the Cabinet.

Silpa Mohan Reddy: Another newcomer to the State Cabinet, Mohan Reddy (49) represents the Nandyal constituency in Kurnool district. A realtor, he belongs to Kondasunkesula. He was elected to the Assembly for the first time in 2004. 

Komatireddy Venkata Reddy: Yet another three-time legislator to be made a Minister for the first time, Reddy (46) has been winning from Nalgonda since 1999.

M Mukesh Goud: Fifty-year-old Goud retains the ministerial post he held since April 26, 2007. A former corporator, he represents the newly-created Goshamahal constituency in Hyderabad.

Podduturi Sudarshan Reddy: Born on August 2, 1950, in Siranpally village of Navipet mandal in Nizamabad district Sudarshan Reddy was elected MLA from Bodhan twice, in 1999 and 2004.

P Sabita Indra Reddy: Hailing from Kotabasupally village in Tandur mandal of Ranga Reddy district and born on May 5, 1963, was first elected MLA from Chevella in 2000 and since 2004, has handled the portfolios of Mines & Geology, Infrastructure & Investment and Handlooms & Textiles.

C Damodar Rajanarasimha: Fifty-year-old civil engineering graduate C Damodar Rajanarasimha was first elected MLA from Andhole in 1989, 2004 and has been a Minister for school education.

Vakiti Sunitha Reddy: Three time MLA since 1999, Vakiti Sunitha Reddy, elected from Narasapur Assembly constituency, was born on April 5, 1968.

J Geetha Reddy: The 62-year-old medical practitioner has been a Minister in the Cabinets of former Chief Ministers K Vijayabhaskara Reddy and Marri Channa Reddy and since 2004, in Chief Minister, Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s Cabinet. She represents Zaheerabad.

Dharmana Prasada Rao: Fifty two year old Rao is a fifth-time MLA from Srikakulam and was Revenue Minister in the previous Cabinet of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy. He represented Narsannapet Assembly constituency thrice and shifted to Srikakulam in 2004. 

K Parthasarathi: Second time MLA, 44-year-old Parthsarathi is son of a former MP Pedareddaiah. He won by 177 votes from Penamaluru constituency and is an engineering graduate. 

P Ramachandra Reddy: Representing Punganuru Assembly constituency in Chittoor district, Dr Reddy is a PhD.

Galla Aruna Kumari: Sixty-two-year-old wife of an industrialist, she is the four-time MLA from Chandragiri Assembly constituency in Chittoor district. She is the daughter of a former Congress MP Rajagopal Naidu. 

Vatti Vasant Kumar: A second time MLA from Ungutur in West Godavari district, 50 year old Kumar resigned his job as a lecturer in commerce in Andhra University to join politics. 

D K Aruna: Two-time MLA, representing Gadwal constituency of Mahbubnagar district, is the first time Minister. Wife of former MLA D K Bharathsimha Reddy, 49-year-old Aruna was earlier in Samajwadi Party.

Anam Ramnarayan Reddy: Ramanarayan Reddy, 56, hails from Nellore and is a law graduate. Elected for the fifth time to the Assembly, he began his political career with TDP as MLA in 1983 and 1985 and was R&B Minister in the N T Rama Rao Cabinet in 1989. 

Balineni Srinivasa Reddi: Forty-six-year-old Srinivasa Reddi, who performed a hat-trick by winning from Ongole Assembly constituency in the latest election, was State Youth Congress president and as DCC president.

Ramareddi Venkata Reddy: He represents Paleru in the recent election. He grew from the level of sarpanch of Pathalingala and served as PCC secretary and organising secretary.

Pilli Subash Chandra Bose: Fifty-eight-year-old Bose was the Social Welfare Minister in the last cabinet and was elected to the Assembly for the third time from Ramachandrapuram constituency of East Godavari district. 

S Vijayarama Raju: Forest Minister in the last Cabinet, Raju was elected from Pathapatnam of Srikakulam in 2009 elections after delimitation.

Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao: Forty-four-old Mr. Rao was Minister for Ports, Airports, was elected from Repalle in Guntur this time after delimitation. 

Dokka Manikya Vara Prasada Rao: Forty-seven-year-old Prasad was elected to the Assembly for the second time from Tadikonda in Guntur district.

Pitani Satyanarayana: Fifty-three-year-old commerce graduate, Mr. Satyanarayana has been re-elected from Achanta Assembly constituency. He is known loyalist of the Chief Minister.
